Palace Cleaner

Deputy Collections Manager/Keeper of Palace and Collections
Summary of
role:
To support the Deputy Collections Manager/Keeper of Palace and Collections
and the cleaning team in ensuring that correct standards of cleaning and
maintenance of areas within the Palace buildings and grounds are consistent
and to a high standard.
Tasks &
Responsibilities:
Reports to work each day and on time and works extra hours when
needed.
Comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e.
when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, COSHH, etc).
You must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and
thoroughness of the work assigned.
Cleaning and maintaining the areas within Palace complex and visitor
areas, including function rooms and other areas as required.
o Additional duties may available as the development of the
complex increases.
The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and
thoroughness of the work assigned.
Communication via radio as required (training will be given).
To be fully aware of customer and client confidentiality.
To maintain standards of Health and Safety in accordance with the
employer handbook and current legislation. Employee must comply
with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using
cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).
To report any incidences, items that may have been moved or concerns
about the cleaning areas or visitor route to the Deputy Collections
Manager/Keeper of Palace and Collections.
To report and maintenance issues to the Deputy Collections
Manager/Keeper of Palace and Collections
Any additional duties considered to be appropriate by the Deputy
Collections Manager/Keeper of Palace and Collections.
To maintain the highest standards of customer service, including
following the complaint handling procedure.
Attend any training course you are required to do to maintain standards.
Conservation cleaning of the Palace collection of art and artefacts
(training will be provided).
Manual handling (training will be provided).
Skills &
Knowledge:
Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level
Ability to prioritise work
Able to work with minimum supervision
Ability to work within a team to achieve specified standards
Able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions
Ability to read and follow instructions on cleaning materials/keep simple
records.
