Main purpose of the job
To sell NFU membership and promote NFU Professional
Services and Benefits. Ensuring that the NFU has a high and
valued profile within the local group area, connecting in a
relevant way with farmers, growers, stakeholders and the
rural community at large.
Reporting Lines
You will report into a County Adviser who will work with you
to maximise potential, providing ongoing guidance and
direction.
Responsibilities
Achieving Membership Targets by selling and retaining NFU
membership categories and promoting the NFU’s range of
membership services and rewards, actively participating in
monthly review meetings.
Provide guidance and direction to farming members to help
solve a wide variety of farm business queries.
Manage the NFU profile within the local community,
championing British Farming by representing farmers and
related rural businesses.
Develop and build strong relationships with your customers,
members and local influencers; become a figurehead in the
local community.
Manage the requirement for meetings and events, to
engage farmers and to drive further networking.
Build and share knowledge on NFU’s policies, priorities and
membership services, demonstrate this through being a
positive advocate of the NFU and agriculture.
Maintain accurate membership and potential membership
records on the Customer Relationship Management system
Manage expenses in line with the NFU expenses budget.
